Additional information (en): Adopted from NZGB Gazetteer. This is a broad seafloor feature with seamounts sitting on top, approximately 125 km offshore from the central E coast of the North Island of New Zealand. The name first appeared on Oceanic Bathymetry Series (OBS) chart 'Cook' in 1991. Minimum depth (m): 3150. Maximum depth (m): 3670. Total relief (m): 520. Dimension/size: 270 km x 150 km.
