Notes Additional information (en): This feature has a distorded shape. Minami-Tori Shima Island, also known as Marcus Island, is an isolated Japanese coral atoll in the Northwest Pacific Ocean, and the easternmost land territory of Japan. Minimum depth (m): 3375. Maximum depth (m): 5300. Total relief (m): 1925. Dimension/size: 25 km × 15 km.

GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Japanese survey vessel "Shoyo". Year of discovery: 2001. History: "Magamo" is the Japanese for a mallard duck. A series of Seamounts and Guyots around the nearby Minami-Tori Shima Island (literally "Southern Bird Island" in Japanese) have been given bird names.
