Notes Additional information (en): This feature has an elongted and linear shape. It is interpreted as resulting from a rifting of the proto Kyushu-Palau Ridge. All undersea features around the Kyushu-Palau Ridge are named after stars and planets. The single position is that of the shallowest point of the feature. Minimum depth (m): 2795. Maximum depth (m): 4492. Total relief (m): 1697. Dimension/size: 15 km × 35 km.    
GEBCO: associated meeting, proposer and year of proposal (en): Associated meeting: SCUFN-31. Proposer: Japanese Committee on Undersea Feature Names (JCUFN). History: 2018.    
GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Japanese survey vessel "Takuyo". Year of discovery: 1994. History: Named from its geographical location, between Kaiosei Seamount and Meiosei Seamount. "Kaimei" is a blend word of "Kaiosei" and "Meiosei". "Kaiosei" and "Meiosei" mean Neptune and Pluto in Japanese, respectively.
