GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Chinese research vessel "Dayang Yihao". Year of discovery: 1995. History: Named after Yang Jiong (650-692), a famous poet in early Tang Dynasty of China. This commemorates his great contribution to Chinese literature.
