Additional information (en): Feature description: A flat-topped bank approximately 55km northeast of Great Barrier Island (Aotea Island). History/Origin/Meaning: Morphologically part of a ridge that creates a barrier for currents going in and out of Hauraki Gulf / Tikapa Moana.

Additional information (en): Adopted from NZGB Gazetteer. This feature is a flat-topped bank projecting at right angles to the regional slope, approximately 105km offshore from the NE coast of the North Island of New Zealand. The name first appeared on Coastal Bathymetry Series (CBS) chart 'Poor Knights' in 1971. Minimum depth (m): 320. Maximum depth (m): 400. Total relief (m): 80. Dimension/size: 23 km x 15 km.
